Vietnam is undoubtedly one of the fastest-growing economies in the world. During my 22-year career as a construction engineer at Kumho E&C, I carried out three projects in Ho Chi Minh City between 2006 and 2014. At that time, the driving forces behind economic development were primarily manufacturing plants and the real estate sector, and naturally, people’s attention was focused on these areas. Even so, as I observed Vietnam’s long coastline stretching from north to south, its mountain ranges, and its unique cultural environment—a blend of Eastern and Western influences—I became convinced that the tourism industry was a market with limitless potential in Vietnam.
